I have given art instruction in NYC and the Hudson Valley for the past fifteen years. I enjoy teaching as much as I do painting, and would be pleased to work with you. My studios are located in Brooklyn and the Catskills;
I am also available to work with you or your group within the NYC tri-state region.
My approach to teaching drawing and painting is primarily visual. Demonstrations and discussions about the language of painting, achieving visual truth and the psychology of seeing are informal. While classes are open to all levels, less experience artists are encouraged to draw until comfortable with the basics before learning painting. Intermediate and advanced artists will learn to bring more depth, finish and feeling into their work.
